Biography

As a Technical lead at Yahoo! I have bridged the gap between creative, engineering, design and business goals for my team and others. The 6 years of web development experience has taken me through problems covering user interface design and development, product prototyping, usability, Accessibility, Client side library building CSS Libraries and dealing with cross browser issues. Having Secured distinction in all academics pursued throughout the educational career, it gives me a strong foundation to approach any problem.

Good communication skills has always helped me. For the Yahoo! Development Network, I evangelize all Yahoo! technologies when ever an opportunity presents itself. Inside the company, I have conducted over 100 hours of technical training in topics like Javascript, CSS, YUI, Ajax, Semantic Markup, Web Standards and best practices. Have presented in many public conferences like FOSS, Great Indian Developer Summit, Computer society of India (CSI) Developer Summit and in many schools and colleges including IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai, NIT Calicut and NIE Mysore

I lead the Yahoo! Bangalore Frontend Community and help with the Yahoo! Bangalore Accessibility. I have organized several conferences within Yahoo! and have taken lead in many initiatives to help other developers in Yahoo! Ensured Standards Compliance and focused on building scalable web platforms and sharable code libraries

I am born a Sagittarius in 1981, grew up in a joint family, studied in the same school since class 3, graduated from a good College, played all kinds of sport and made a lot of great friends all in the beautiful town of Mysore. I became a we in 2008. I love out-door and in-door sports. Have been good in cricket and lately have taken an interest to Golf. I love travelling and have been lucky enough to travel a lot through personal trips and business trips. I maintain a wish list of all places I want to see, and I am happy I am on track.

Artisan Form Builder Library

Part of the Producer Desktop application, the Artisan Form Builder library is a YUI 3 widget implementation that will create custom forms for JSON schema documents. The library is built out as a series of classes that handle various JSON schema data types. The library also provides an interface that the producer desktop developers can extend and create their own custom forms.

I have been speaking in various conferences and public forums including colleges about Yahoo! technologies. I am also involved in the Technical training inside Yahoo! Bangalore. Producers Desktop Application

I lead the frontend team for the producers desktop project which is a framework for content programing. This unique framework allows developers to create plugins that are independent web pages. I designed and implemented the Framework Cross domain plugin interface that allows the plugins to be hosted on any domain and still be able to interact with the hosted framework. This component was the core piece that made it possible for rapid customer onboarding on the hosted Producer Desktop instance.

Yahoo! India Maps and Yahoo! Ajax Maps API

I led the Frontend engineering team in Bangalore for the http://in.maps.yahoo.com development. We were involved in design of new features. I also involved in the Maps Ajax API design and development and supported it which is out on Yahoo! Development Network for Public use. I was the technical lead for this project and focused more on the architecture and design of the API components. I focused on improving Javascript API performance. I also solved many cross browser issues and am doing research for client side vector graphics components.

Yahoo! Home pages and content programming platform

This new team was responsible for development of over 6 global Yahoo! homepages. We designed and developed the content programming interface for the Homepages, which the content editors use extensively to this day. I was involved in creating a unique real time update content programming interface, for which we won an You Rock award inside the company. This project gave me great exposure to internationalization and localization of web pages.

Sify Broad band video streaming pages

This was one of my ideas for Sify. I was the only developer on this project and was fully responsible for design and implementation the initial videos.sify.com or sifymax.com. The first system used Windows Media player as the streaming server. I designed and built a video caching system that allowed us to deploy the sifymax video site across India.

Sify Mobile Sites and Mobile Blogging

As an extension to the Sify Blogs project, I was asked to take a group of interns and freshers to design and develop the blogging site for the mobile. This was launched along with the 4545 SMS service. I was responsible to design and develop the backend and frontend interfaces. This project was a huge success and I was given the ÒSify way Smart MindsÓ award.
